Train carrying Belarusian dairy products arrives in Chongqing

MINSK – A train carrying 41 containers with Belarusian dairy products has arrived in China's Chongqing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

The train welcoming ceremony took place as part of the first China International Import Expo. Taking part in the event were Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy, Minsk Oblast Deputy Governor Nikolai Rogashchuk and Chongqing Vice Mayor Pan Yiqin.

The parties agreed to launch weekly rail deliveries of Belarusian agricultural products to Chongqing in the near future. A $20 million contract to supply dairy products was signed by Meat and Dairy Company and Sinoby Agriculture. A cooperation agreement was signed by Sinoby Agriculture and Chongqing Yuxinoy logistic company to use container trains for the delivery of Belarusian products to China.
