Belarus to take out RMB2.54bn credit from China govt to implement agricultural project

MINSK – The government of Belarus has given the green light to the draft framework agreement between the Governments of Belarus and China on providing a low-interest state credit of the Chinese government in the amount of RMB2.54 billion (more than $396m) for 15 years to implement the final stage of a high-tech agricultural project in Belarus.
As previously reported, Belagroprombank was chosen to act as an agent bank to service China’s soft loan worth RMB1.75 billion to the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation. The credit money will be provided in 2018 - 2023 to implement the first stage of a high-tech agribusiness project in Belarus’ Pukhovichi District, in accordance with the Belarusian government’s resolution #367 of May 17, 2018.
