BelTA, China's Renmin Ribao sign memorandum of cooperation

BEIJING (BelTA) – The Belarusian news agency BelTA and China's Renmin Ribao (People's Daily) concluded a memorandum of cooperation in Beijing on 22 September, BelTA informs. The document was signed by First Deputy Director General of the Belarusian news agency BelTA Oksana Kirilchik and Renmin Ribao President Yang Zhenwu.

Under the document, the signatories express readiness to provide information support of the One Belt, One Road project and exchange information products free of charge.

Beijing is hosting the Media Cooperation Forum One Belt, One Road on 21-22 September. The participants of the international meeting in Beijing have been discussing the role of mass media in the implementation of the new Silk Road concept which is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the countries of Central Asia, South Asia and Europe.

The forum has gathered about 170 representatives of mass media, experts and scientists from more than 60 countries. The organizer of the forum is the Chinese newspaper Renmin Ribao.
