First Belarusian-Chinese human sciences forum in Beijing on 4 September

MINSK (BelTA) – The first Belarusian-Chinese human sciences forum will open in Beijing on 4 September, the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus told BelTA.
The forum will focus on topics, which are important for advancing Belarusian-Chinese cooperation. It will take place at premises of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). The forum will focus on “The role and contribution of Belarus and China in World War Two”.
For the sake of taking part in the event a delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) has gone to China. It is led by Sergei Chizhik, Deputy Chairman of the NASB Presidium. The delegation includes prominent Belarusian scientists, heads of organizations of the Human Sciences and Arts Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. During the forum Belarusian and Chinese researchers will present scientific reports. Joint research problems will be discussed as well.
During the forum negotiations will be held with the administration of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to discuss prospective avenues of cooperation in the area of human sciences. Apart from that, the sides will sign a regulation on arranging contests of joint projects in accordance with the agreement on scientific cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian National Fund for Fundamental Research and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
