MINSK (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Chinese top-level agreements will be implemented on time, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said on 5 November as he met with Zhong Shan, China's Vice Minister of Commerce and International Trade Representative, who will represent China at the Belarus president's inauguration ceremony, BelTA has learned.

Welcoming the Chinese delegation, Alexander Lukashenko stressed: “I would like to thank the Chinese president for the kind words he addressed to me after I had been elected president, and for the colossal support that China provides to Belarus.”

The head of state remarked that at the meeting with Zhong Shan he would like to discuss the entire spectrum of Belarus-China cooperation. “As for the major avenues of bilateral cooperation, including the implementation of the project to build the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone which was called the pearl of the new Silk Road by the Chinese president, I think that the tasks which were set during the visit of Xi Jinping to Minsk will be fulfilled on time. If we step up efforts we will even move ahead of schedule,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
