Lukashenko urges to enhance cooperation with China

MINSK (BelTA) – It is necessary to raise the efficiency of cooperation with the People's Republic of China, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met Head of the Belarus President Administration Alexander Kosinets to receive his report on 16 April, BelTA has learned.
The President stressed that Belarus maintains good relations with the People's Republic of China. “It is one of our main political, economic and diplomatic partners,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.
The head of state expressed confidence that Belarus should enhance cooperation with Chinese partners. “We should step up cooperation with them. They meet us halfway, provide enough loans. We use these loans to implement efficient projects,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
Alexander Kosinets informed the President about the results of his trip to the People's Republic of China on 8-11 April. The trip focused on the preparation for the visit of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Belarus. The Head of the Belarus President Administration said that during the trip to China the Belarusian delegation and Chinese colleagues discussed a wide range of political issues, international, trade and economic cooperation, interaction in the banking sector, credit and investment policy. They also discussed the construction of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park.
“It means that the leadership of China trusts us. We must value it. This country is a leader in all aspects today, and we are glad that we established cooperation with China more than 20 years ago,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
Apart from that, the President was informed about the fulfillment of the instructions which he gave to Alexander Kosinets when appointing him Head of the Belarus President Administration. “There is an impression and even grounds for conclusions regarding the efficiency of the Belarus President Administration,” the head of state said. Alexander Lukashenko drew special attention to the control over the fulfillment of instructions. “Frankly speaking, there are certain issues we need to improve. It is sometimes needed to remind to certain officials that the President has made decisions on topical issues,” the Belarusian leader remarked.
The Head of the Belarus President Administration informed the head of state about the fulfillment of his instructions concerning the personnel policy, ideology, social and economic development, the implementation of a number of decrees and directives aimed at raising the living standards of people.
