MINSK (BelTA) - Two new Huawei laboratory training canters have opened at the Higher State College of Communications (HSCC) in Minsk, BelTA correspondent reported from the opening ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
“Figuratively speaking, it is one of our little “Skolkovo” [innovation center, which is often referred to as the “Russian Silicon Valley”]. The uniqueness of this project lies in the fact that we go by the full technological cycle: training, design, production at the plant of Promsvyaz Company, certification and testing”, - said the Belarusian head of government. Thus, he added, now it is not only about the purchase of equipment, as it was before, but also its creation, including the participation of students of the institution.
During the opening ceremony, an agreement was signed for the transfer of equipment for the Bel Huawei Technologies joint research laboratory of the Huawei Technologies Training Centre at the Higher College of Communications with the corresponding certificate.
Two labs for intellectual remote surveillance systems and modern information and communication technologies at the Huawei Technologies Training Centre include telephone exchanges for IP-telephony, multi-service access equipment, VoIP ports, HD video-conferencing system and a mockup of the intellectual traffic control system.
In addition to training students, a laboratory-based training will be carried out for the specialists of Promsvyaz, Beltelekom, HSCC and other organizations. Plans are being made to hold joint seminars, symposiums and exhibitions devoted to developments in the field of communications.
For the training centre, Huawei will provide new development for the implementation of joint projects, technical documentation and technological test equipment, as well as send their experts to train Belarusian students and professors.
