China is ready to provide assistance to Vitebsk in arranging Chinese language classes and Wushu classes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Cui Qiming said as he met with Vice Governors of Vitebsk Oblast Oleg Matskevich and Vladimir Terentyev on 10 April, BelTA has learnt.

The Belarusian-Chinese relations are developing at the level of strategic partnership, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming said as he met with Vitebsk Vice Governors Oleg Matskevich and Vladimir Terentyev in Vitebsk on 10 April, BelTA has learnt.

The Chinese company Huawei does not rule out that it may implement the project Safe City in Minsk. The statement was made during the meeting of Deputy Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik and the top management of the company Bel Huawei Technologies which represents the company’s interests in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The main contract for the project to build the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park is supposed to be signed soon. The matter was discussed at the meeting of Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik and CAMCE Vice President Lee Heixing on 3 April, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

Belarus has invited the Chinese company Geely Holding Group to consider the possibility of building an enterprise to make automobile components in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. The proposal was voiced by Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik as he met with top executives of the company on 28 March, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

The Armed Forces of Belarus are ready to expand cooperation with China, Belarus’ Defense Minister Lieutenant General Yuri Zhadobin said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming, BelTA learnt from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.

The Belarusian State University (BSU) has signed four contracts with the Institute of Petrochemistry of the Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences (Harbin, China), BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian State University.

The progress of the project to create the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park is constantly monitored, BelTA learned from Minsk Oblast Governor Semyon Shapiro at the press conference held on 21 March for Belarusian mass media.

The participation of the China National Corporation for Overseas Economic Cooperation (CCOEC) in upgrade projects of Belarus’ light industry companies was discussed by the Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik and the representatives of the corporation, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The Belarusian government has provided guarantees to the Export-Import Bank of China for its $52.7 million loan granted to Belarusian Railways. The decision was formalized in Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.192 as of 3 March 2014, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.
