Belarus and China have reserves for bolstering trade and economic cooperation, said Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich as he met with Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Lu Yongxiang on 22 May.

Belarus and China are set to implement 18 new sci-tech joint projects estimated at about $10 million, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Igor Voitov said following a session of the Belarus-China intergovernmental commission for sci-tech cooperation on 22 May, BelTA has learnt.

An agreement on setting up a Belarusian-Chinese commission for cooperation in high technologies was signed in Minsk on 21 May at a meeting of Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko with the delegation of the Chinese parliament.

Bought by the Belarusian Railway, two powerful electric locomotives BCG1 have been delivered from China to the Belarusian town of Baranovichi, BelTA has learned.
