MINSK (BelTA) – Chinese companies are interested in Belshina’s experience of producing supersize tires, tires for trucks and agricultural machines, representatives of the Belarusian company told BelTA.
Belshina specialists visited the international expo “Tires, rubber goods, and resins 2011” that took place in Moscow in early March 2011. Representatives of the Bobruisk-based company held negotiations with colleagues representing Chinese companies Zhedong Tyrex, Crowntyre Industrial, Tianjin Goodrun International Trading, and Indian tire manufacturers Trident International, Apollo International. Products made by the Chinese and Indian companies were on display at the expo. The sides discussed matters relating to raw resources: factors that influence the price of end products and rising requirements of customers for the quality of products.
At the expo Belshina specialists held negotiations with existing partners that supply chemical products. Those are German companies Lanxess, Schill+Seilacher Struktol GmbH, Munch Chemie International. Negotiations with potential suppliers of raw materials were held, too. Those are the Italian company Polimeri Europa, which specializes in artificial rubber, and the Chinese companies that make anid cord fabrics (Weifang Senyu Trading, Hangzhou Dikai Industrial Fabrics).
According to the source, Asian and Indian companies showed an interest in the Belarusian experience of manufacturing tires. The attention of the Chinese tire makers is attributed to Belshina’s extensive tire lineup. “Chinese tire makers usually specialize in a certain number of tire sizes and models. Only some companies out of about 6,000 Chinese tire makers manufacture supersize tires,” explained Belshina representatives.
Speaking about cooperation with Indian tire manufacturers, Belshina representatives said that the company Apollo International Limited is a regular customer that buys Belshina supersize tires and truck tires to use them as reference models and to sell them via its own distribution system.
OAO Belshina is part of the Belarusian petrochemical concern Belneftekhim. The company is a major European tire maker, offering over 300 tire sizes and tire models for cars, trucks, heavy haulers, road construction and building machines, buses, tractors and agricultural machines. The company comprises a giant tire plant, a popular tire plant, a supersize tire plant, a mechanical plant and other divisions required to make and sell products.
