Ambassador awarded for contribution to Belarusian-Chinese cooperation

MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko bestowed an Order of Frantsisk Skorina upon Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Lu Guicheng on 5 December. The award ceremony took place at the meeting of the Belarusian head of state with the Ambassador, whose diplomatic mission in Belarus is over.
Lu Guicheng has been awarded for the considerable personal contribution to the development and enhancement of political, trade, economic, credit and investment, scientific and technical, and humanitarian ties between Belarus and China.
Alexander Lukashenko remarked that representatives of other nations do not often get state awards.
Lu Guicheng said he was grateful for the award and accepts it not only as a personal award but as an evaluation of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation on the whole. “It is a true symbol of friendship between Belarus and China,” stressed the Ambassador.
According to Lu Guicheng, over the three years of his diplomatic service in Belarus the two countries have advanced considerably, developing their ties in all areas. “It fully meets interests of the Chinese and Belarusian nations. The Chinese government and the nation highly appreciate the present state of friendly, productive bilateral relations”. Lu Guicheng believes that the potential of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation is great and the countries have good prospects of advancing the ties even more.
