OOO “New Investment Technologies” and Chinese GUDENG to cooperate in trenchless construction

A Belarusian OOO “New Investment Technologies” and a Chinese plant to manufacture the trenchless construction equipment Gudeng concluded a cooperation agreement in the field of the trenchless construction, Sergey Kapelschikov, the director of OOO “New Investment Technologies” told reporters at the press conference on the 27th of May.

The agreement makes provisions for the delivery of horizontal directional drilling machinery of the Chinese manufacture to use it in the construction.  OOO “New Investment Technologies” has become an official dealer of Gudeng in Belarus.

“Nearly 15-20% of construction works in Belarus are carried out by trenchless method and the local market is at the initial development stage,” Sergey Kapelschikov said. In his opinion, the need of Belarus in the trenchless equipment will rise as the state policy related to such kind of works changes. Currently, the country needs up to 100 horizontal directional drilling units and yet we have only 30.

“Here we first of all talk about a wide application of the method within the frameworks of the state programme “Clean Water 2006-2015” which presupposes that 95% of the population shall be connected to central water supply,” the company’s director noted. According to the programme, 1.5 thous. km of  water mains and sewerages are planned to be built within next five years. That is why the cooperation with Gudeng can appear to be an important factor to develop the construction field in Belarus, he stressed.
