China Development Bank will lend U.S. $60 million to Belarusian state telecoms operator Beltelecom for network modernization. The loan agreement was signed during a visit of a Chinese delegation to Belarus on March 24-25, 2010. Belarus hopes to get a loan worth almost $250 million from China to reconstruct its major highways, Alexander Golovnev, head of the road maintenance department of the Belavtodor company of the Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus, told a press conference on 30 March.
