Smolevichi Broiler Poultry Factory to export chicken paws to China

Smolevichi Broiler Poultry Factory will export chicken paws to China. Such rather unusual order has been accepted by the enterprise. Moreover, China intends to purchase large consignments of chicken paws, Piotr Shagov, the General Director of the factory told.

Chicken paws are deemed a delicacy provided that they are properly cooked. The only requirement is that they should be cleaned pretty well. For these purposes the factory intends to purchase the equipment required.

For the period of seven months of the current year the enterprise increased its exports to $10.9 M or 3-fold as against the similar period of the previous year. 5.8 thous. tons of meat products were delivered to the foreign market which corresponded to the annual export project.

Another 5 thous. tons of meat products headed to Russian regions – Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, Moscow and Moscow Oblast, Bryansk and Smolensk – are expected to be sold till the end of the year.

Products under a trademark “Bratia Grill” are delivered directly to retail trading companies and neighbourhood retailers of Russian cities and towns. Contracts have been concluded with over 200 trading companies. The enterprise deals with Russian consumers on the basis of advance payment.

The products exported to the Russian Federation have certificates conforming to Russian standards. Currently, the enterprise has been enjoying the Quality Management System for compliance to the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2001 (ISO 9001:2000). The quality control system for foodstuffs based on the principles of НАССР has also been introduced.

The issue on expanding export geography is being worked out.

Smolevichi Broiler Poultry Factory is one of the major Belarusian enterprises to produce poultry meat and articles thereof. The factory was established in 1967 and nowadays it has five agricultural production centres: “Rassvet”, “Parizhskaya Kommuna”, “Plisskiy”, “Pukhovichy”, kolkhoz named after Gagarin. The enterprise is going to join OAO “Krasnoznamensk animal feed mill” and OAO “Smolevichi Dairy Plant” in the near future. Thus, there will have been created a multibranch cooperative-integration structure OAO “Smolevichi Broiler Poultry Factory”.
