Belarus plans to construct 34 energy facilities with the help of Chinese loans, according to Council of Ministers’ resolution No 1210 of 18 August 2010. Belarus expects the Chinese Commerce Ministry to provide more active aid in finding partners for implementing projects in Belarus, said Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Igor Voitov as he met with a deputy general manager of the Export-Import Bank of China. Belarus is holding negotiations with the Export-Import Bank of China on venture capital investing, Anatoly Grishanovich, Director of the Belarusian Innovation Fund, said in a session on implementing and financing venture projects at the State Science and Technology Committee on 24 August. Bellegprom Concern and the China Textile Engineering Society (CTES) have signed a memorandum of agreement, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian company. In January-June Belarus’ export of goods and services to China increased 2.8 times to reach $267 million, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics committee. The national exposition of Belarus and the World EXPO 2010 in Shanghai has been attended by more than 3 million people, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belinterexpo Director Yuri Lositsky told media. OAO FanDOK has received the first consignment of the Chinese equipment to the amount of over $2 mln. to launch the production of thin particleboard slabs, said the Deputy Economic Director of the enterprise Tatyana Khinevich. Belarus expects to get a Chinese loan to develop the infrastructure of National Airport Minsk, Vadim Melnik, Director of the Aviation Department of the Transport and Communication Ministry of Belarus, told media on 3 August. Gomselmash has designed a new self-propelled corncob harvester. The machine will be tested in China in September-October, BelTA learnt from First Deputy Director General of the company Ivan Proturo.
