MTW to send 200 tractor sets to assemble in China in 2009

In 2009, Minsk Tractor Works is planning to send 200 tractor sets to be assembled in the Chinese Urumqi City, where there operates assembling manufacturing of Belarusian machinery, BELTA learn at the enterprise. Last year saw 50 tractor sets to be sent to China. On the whole, the Minsk Tractor Works exported nearly 15 thous. of “Belarus” tractors in 2008; the new consumers of the Belarusian agricultural machinery appeared to be Bangladesh, Nepal, India

In order to enhance its products competitiveness the MTW introduced barcoding identification system for tractors and machinery. This allows to reduce the number of infringing articles on the foreign market. Moreover, barcoding provides an opportunity to speed up logistic service of clients in distribution network belonging to the Minsk Tractor Works.

“Minsk Tractor Works” RUE manufactured 64714 tractors and machines in 2008, which was 8.5% more than in 2007. For the period of the year, the production of marketable products exceeded Br2.636 trln., which made 113.1% to the level of the previous year.

Production Association Minsk Tractor Works was founded 29 May, 1946. The enterprise enters the eight of the major world tractor manufacturers – those providing 96% of the total world market outlet of the above machinery. The MTW exports its products to more than 60 countries of the world. Currently, the “ MTW” PA manufactures 24 models of versatile row-crop tractors, 6 models of compact tractors, 8 models of motoblocs and mini-tractors, 15 models of special industrial purpose vehicles: municipal, loading, forestry, and mining purposes.
