The Belarusian Railways (BR) and China National Electronics Import
and Export Corporation signed a letter of intent for cooperation,
BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Railways. The
document was signed during a visit of a Chinese delegation to Minsk
on October 23-20.
Transport authorities of Belarus and China plan to sign a
memorandum on cooperation in automobile transport, inland water
transport and construction of relevant infrastructure, BelTA learnt
from Sergei Negrei, Head of the Foreign Trade Office of the
Belarusian Transport and Communication Ministry.
By 2010 national air carrier Belavia plans to start offering
flights to Beijing, Director of the Aviation Department of the
Belarusian Transport and Communication Ministry Vadim Melnik told a
press conference on October 30.
Belarus offers the Export-Import Bank of China (EXIM BANK) to consider an opportunity of signing a memorandum of cooperation, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told a delegation of the EXIM-BANK group on October 29.

The Government of Belarus and China EXIM BANK signed an agreement on extending a preferential governmental loan to Belarus. The document was signed by Finance Minister of Belarus Andrei Kharkovets and EXIM BANK Chairman and President Li Ruogu.
The contract on construction of the new block of the Minsk TPP-5
for the sum of more than 260 million Euro is signed with a Chinese
corporation. The deputy Minister of Energy of Belarus Mikhail
Mikhadyuk has informed about it today at the press conference.
In accordance with the Council of Ministers’ Resolution No 1496, to
construct three new cement facilities Belarus will attract a 200mn
yuan preferential loan from Export-Import Bank of China subsidized
by the PRC government and a $500mn buyer credit.
It is necessary to start implementing the projects in the cement
industry with the Chinese CITIC Group as soon as possible,
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with
CITIC Group Chairman Kong Dan on October 14.
