The delegation of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of the Republic of Belarus is pursuing negotiations on concrete production industry re-equipment in the People’s Republic of China. The information was presented by Alexander Pankevich, Chief of the Science-Technical Department of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of the Republic of Belarus, at the press-conference held in Minsk on September 27.

  

China is ready to invest more in Belarus’ economy, China’s Ambassador to Belarus Hu Hunbin said at a press conference Thursday.

According to the ambassador, Chinese investors evaluate possibilities of investing in Belarus’ cement factories and in the production of fiberboard.

China Development Bank plans to open its office in Minsk soon, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Hu Hunbin told a news conference on Thursday.
 
“The bank is ready to open its office in Minsk in order to create a firm financial base for trade and economic relations,” Hu Hunbin said.

Belarusian and Chinese parties are pursuing negotiations on the establishment of an enterprise in the Republic of Belarus for the manufacture of Chinese automobiles. The information was presented by U. Hungbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus, at the press-conference.

The diplomatic official pointed out that some Chinese companies and enterprises currently pursue negotiations on this issue.

Belarus and China completed their negotiations on the establishing of a joint manufacture enterprise for household appliances as part of the OJSC “Horizont”. The information was presented by U. Hungbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus, at the press-conference.

According to the diplomatic official, the production capacity of the enterprise is to be rather high. The production is aimed not only for home market, but also for foreign customers.

Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ), one of the world’s largest producers of mine trucks, located in the city of Zhodino, in the Minsk Region, plans to double exports of dump trucks to China in 2007 to U.S. $50 million, a source in the company told Prime-Tass referring to the fast-growing extractive industry of that country.

Belarus is still in talks with Chinese manufacturers over a joint venture to produce dump trucks with capacities ranging from 130 tonnes to 220 tonnes.

The first public demonstration of a hydrogen fuel powered city bus “ Shenli-1” accomplished in Shanghai. The pollution-free bus is to be handed over to one of the Italian companies as an example model. It is to become the first Chinese automobile of this type exported abroad.
