Within the framework
of the 18th China Harbin International Fair for Trade and Economic
Cooperation the official signing of the Protocol of intentions on
the activities in scientific-technical area between the State
Committee on Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus
and the Department of Science and Technology and the Academy of
Sciences of the Government of Heilongjiang took place.

On 25 June PhD Tamara
Yanchevskaya, Manager of the RCTT overseas office, visited the
construction site of the Sino-Russian Technopark in Changchun city.
A set of new buildings for the technopark is planned to be finished
by the end of this year. The new premises are expected to
accommodate medical laser production unit (under a Belarusian
technology), permanent and constantly updated Belarusian hi-tech
exhibition, show units on particular engineering and manufacturing
methods and processes.
China International
Fair for Investment & Trade organized by the Ministry of
Commerce will be held from September 8-11, 2007 in Xiamen (CPR).
International investment issues of current importance will be
discussed, investment project will be presented and investment
goods will be exhibited during this fair.


Belarusian car dealers point out
that there is a growth of customers’ interest to the products of
China’s car industry. This was announced on June 20 during the
opening of a new car center “Chinese cars in Brilevskaya”.
According to its Director Andrei Alekseychik the center plans to
sell approximately 300 "Geely" passenger cars and 300 "JAC"
medium-duty trucks in Belarusian market by the end of 2007.
At the end of last
week the registration procedure of ASB Belarusbank representative
office in Beijing was over.
Over 80 enterprises
and organizations will take part in the National Exposition of
Belarus at the 18th Harbin Trade and Economic International Fair
which is to be held in China from the 15th to the 19th of June. The
exposition was organized by the exhibition enterprise “Belexpo”,
Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the assistance
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commerce of Belarus.
Among the participants are the companies and organizations
interested in supplying their goods to Chinese market and in
development of cooperation with Chinese partners.
Three feature films, one animated and one
documentary film of Chinese cinematographers will be presented to
the audience.
On June 14, the creation by Zharn Yimou “Curse of the Golden
Flower” will open the program. The action takes place in China in
the 10th centuries. This film is the concluding part of a
historical trilogy by this director and shows the Emperor’s family,
political and love intrigues of the Emperor’s court.
 The first precedent
has been established. In June this year Chinese spinning machines
started to work at the unitary enterprise “Weaving and spinning
factory “Ruchayka” (Kobrin).
Belarus will be one
of the 50 countries to be represented in the 6th International
Student Chinese Language Contest “Chinese Language – A Bridge”,
which will take place from August 3-13, in Beijing.
Belarus will be represented by Anastasia Semashko, a fifth-year
student of Belarusian State University from the international
relations department, and the winner of the qualifying round in
Belarus. The event was organized by the PRC embassy in Belarus with
the support of Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU).
Central China TV reporters made a two part documentary film about Belarus. On the 30th of May it was demonstrated in CPR embassy in Minsk.
"The film was screened in China in April 2007 and evoked a very favorable response", - emphasized the diplomat. According to Wang Xiaoju after watching the film a lot more of his countrymen intend to visit Belarus to “see this beautiful country with their own eyes”.
