Belarus and China to set up a MDF plant in Pinsk

The delegation of Chinese XY Group Corporation headed by Vice-President Xue Hai Lun visited Closed Joint Stock Company “ Pinskdrev”, as the enterprise’s representatives reported.

The negotiations resulted in the protocol of intent signing aimed at the establishment of a joint venture on cabinet furniture and polyurethane foam production. The would-be locations of the enterprise are a “Pinskdrev-Euro-Mebel” branch and Pinsk MDF plant based in the Free Economic Zone “Brest”.

There is no large-scale production of the kind in Belarus satisfying the modern requirements, the Chinese partners noted when proving the economic expediency of a MDF plant construction.

Quoting the source, the Chinese delegation visited CJSC “ Pinskdrev”, Gorodishche furniture factory and the enterprise’s main industrial site.

Moreover the parties agreed to set up warehouses for storage of furniture fabrics, leather, fittings, decorations and glass goods made in China jointly with CJSC “Pinskdrev”.
