Delegation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus has visited Chinese People's Republic

The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China reported that the delegation of the Ministry of Health of Belarus, headed by G. Hulup, the rector of the Belarusian Medical Academy of postgraduate education, had been visited PRC since 3 till 7 of April.

The Belarusian delegation was invited by the Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) public administration. Initialing of cooperation agreement in the field of traditional Chinese medicine between The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus and the TCM public administration was the midpoint of the visit. Signing of the agreement is being expected in May-June 2006 during the return visit of the Chinese part.

The problems of the TCM division creation on the basis of the Belarusian Republican rehabilitation and balneology center were discussed. Negotiations with the administration of the Sports medicine department under the National department of sport and physical culture on the anti-dope problems were carried out. The project of the partnership agreement in the field of the anti-dope research was handed to the Chinese part.

The Belarusian delegation also visited and conducted negotiations with the administrations of specialized Academy, Pekinese hospital, TCM university of Tianjin, one of the leading companies producing TCM medicines. The agreement about joint work up of business plan was reached in order to produce traditional Chinese medicines in Belarus of Chinese raw materials. The medicines should be sold on the territory of neighbor countries. 

The parts also came to an agreement about conducting short-term trainings for Belarusian specialists in the field of TCM.
