The Palace of the Republic in Minsk hosted negotiations. The Belarusian party was represented by Valentin Rybakov, Presidential Aide, Viktor Gaisenok, Deputy Foreign Minister, and Anatoliy Stepus, Head of the Department for Asia and Africa of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Alexander Popkov, deputy head of the President’s Administration of Belarus, meets with Li Zhiyong, deputy chief of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on August 21 in the Palace of the Republic. Lee Jiyun heads the Chinese delegation that will pay a visit to Belarus on August 20-21. The agenda of the visit includes talks with Vladimir Siniakov, the head of the Central Personnel Department of the Belarusian President’s Administration.
July 24 marked the start of annual seminar for Belarus’ foreign institutions heads.
According to the information of Committee on Chernobyl disaster aftermath problems under the Council of ministers of Republic of Belarus on the 17 of July in Minsk Republic of Belarus and People’s Republic of China will record in writing delivery procedure of the free material aid to the tune of 20 million yuan.
Minister of Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus Enver Bariev and the ambassador of People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus Y. Hunbin will sign letters of exchange, which determine free material aid extension. The aid is granted in accordance with Belarus-Chinese agreements, which have been signed in 2004 and 2005.
Free aid includes medical equipment and computers for areas that mutilated in Chernobyl disaster.
According to the agreement that have been reached in December
2005, China will grant 30 million yuan to Belarus for
“Horizont” is planning to manufacture the first home diode monitor. As Yury Predko, the enterprise managing director stated during the interview to BelTA it is the result of Belarus-China cooperation. It took the specialists of both countries half a year to develop it. Some parts are imported from the PRC.
