Belarus shows keen interest in further strengthening and development of mutually beneficial relations with China, Chairman of the Belarus-China Friendship Society Anatoly Tozik said in a solemn meeting at the Minsk House of Friendship on 25 September to mark the 63rd anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese-Belarusian relations are distinguished by a high level of mutual trust, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei said in a solemn meeting at the Minsk House of Friendship on 25 September to mark the 63rd anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China. For Belarus it is of crucial importance not only to preserve the current relations with China, but considerably expand the bilateral cooperation in economy, science, culture and education, Deputy Premier, Chairman of the Belarus-China Friendship Society Anatoly Tozik said in a solemn meeting at the Minsk House of Friendship on 25 September to mark the 63rd anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China. Spiritual closeness between two peoples is the basis of Belarusian-Chinese friendship. The statement was made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei at the solemn meeting held at the Minsk House of Friendship on 24 September to mark the 63rd anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, BelTA has learnt. From September 24 to October 2 teachers of the Confucius Institute of Sinology in the Republic of Belarus will hold series of master classes on calligraphy, Chinese knotting (zhong guo jie) and paper cutting (jian zhi) at Minsk secondary schools, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian State University. The construction of the factory to assemble Chinese automobiles at Borisov-based OAO Avtogydrousilitel is nearly over, Belarusian Industry Minister Dmitry Katerinich said during the video briefing hosted by the National Press Center website on 21 September. Belarus invites companies from Guangdong Province, China to implement projects in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with the Chinese delegation on 20 September. There are plans to finish the Belarusian-Chinese project to buy electric freight locomotives worth about $100 million for Belarusian Railways by the end of the next year, the press service of Belarusian Railways told BelTA. Belarus and China plan to start implementing the project to create a supercomputer center in Minsk in 2013, Alexander Tuzikov, Director General of the United Informatics Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, told media on 17 September. The State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Chinese company Inspur have reached an agreement to build a supercomputer cluster in Belarus, the Committee’s press service told BelTA. The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Gomselmash plans to expand its presence in China, the company’s Acting Director General Ivan Proturo told BelTA. Development prospects of the relations and political dialogue between Belarus and China are high on the agenda of the ministerial consultations currently held in Beijing, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Savinykh told a press briefing. The authority of the Chinese company CBT Development (Logistics) Limited to represent Belarus’ interests in matters relating to the attraction of investments into the republic has been revoked. The decision has been laid down by Council of Ministers resolution No. 837 of 10 September 2012, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA. A Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleinik is visiting Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China to hold ministerial consultations on 10-14 September. Belarus’ exhibits are presented in four booths, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Beijing. Belarusian book publishers are taking part in Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) 2012 from 29 August to 2 September, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese company NCPE will build power lines for the Belarusian nuclear power plant, Belarusian Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk said at the online conference hosted by BelTA on 29 August. |
